Dave Mustaine’s Daughter Joins Him Onstage for A Tout le Monde

Dave Mustaine continues to make his triumphant return from a battle with throat cancer, and we’re all glad about that.  Mega Dave and the rest of Megadeth continued their European tour with a stop in Paris on Tuesday evening.

During that Paris concert, Dave Mustaine’s daughter, Electra joined the band onstage to accompany her father in singing A Tout le Monde from Megadeth’s 1994 album, Youthanasia.

This being 2020, there was of course footage of this occasion that appeared on Youtube.  You can view the footage below.

Good to see Dave and his daughter taking advantage of his good health after a very scary situation and spending some quality time together.

Here are the tour dates for Megadeth’s 2020 European tour with Five Finger Death Punch and Bad Wolves.

Scotty Gee Radio Show Notes 12-28-19

Welcome back, Scotty Gee Radio fans to the show notes for the final Scotty Gee Radio show of 2019.  I had originally planned to go for three hours tonight but that kind of went out the window and resulted in a FOUR-hour show!  We had another game of stitch-up for which I will post the clue and the answer later, AND we made the draw for December’s Scotty Gee Radio merch contest.  The main point of the show is that we played some killer music and had a hell of a time doing it.

The Stitch-Up clue for tonight was The Old Punks Deliver Honey Tonight.  That phrase was made up of words from six different songs.  The answer is below.  Now, on to the playlist for Saturday’s show.  Remember, you can listen to the Scotty Gee Radio playlist on Spotify any time you want.

If you would like to support the show, please consider becoming a monthly subscriber through my Patreon page at patreon.com/scottygee or perhaps even a one-time donation.

Scotty Gee Radio Show Notes 12-18-19

Another early morning, another Scotty Gee Radio show on Live 365.  Firstly, I would like to thank Binnie Gee for becoming a patron.  Every dollar raised helps keep the radio show going.  It costs money to buy the music and to pay for the Live 365 monthly fee to put on the radio show, so thank you again, Binnie Gee and Michelle, who are the two current patrons of The Scotty Gee Show and Scotty Gee Radio.

We had another game which has no name, where I take three band names, make a clue out of them, and listeners have to tell me which three bands or artists I am referring to so that they (the listeners, not the bands) can be entered into a draw to win Scotty Gee Radio Merch.  Here are the three clues.

  1. These guys are no amateurs
  2. People in Kabul sometimes wear toupees
  3. They’ve been taken advantage of.

Answers will be below the playlist for today’s show.  Speaking of the playlist, here it is!

Bin Jovi

It’s all the same, only the beers will change
Everyday, it seems we’re drinkin’ away
Another place where the beers are so cold
I sell drinks all night just to pay for my home..

I’m a beer man, on a pallet lift I ride
I’m working.. workiiiiin
Wanted dead or alive

Voyageur days i work, i work super long days
The people I greet.. always buying beer with their pays
Sometimes you tell the day
By the bottles that they drink
And times when you drop a case, the beer can really stiink

I’m a beer man, on a pallet lift I ride
I’m working.. workiiiiin
Beer store for liiiife!

Oh, and I ride

I’m a beer man, on a pallet lift I ride
I’m working.. workiiiiin
Beer store for liiiife!

I walk these coolers
An empty six-pack on my back
I cannot sleep, cause I might freeze stuck on my back
I ve sold them all, stubbies, as well as tall
I’ve seen a million empties
And I’ve stacked them all

I’m a beer man, on a pallet lift I ride
I’m working.. workiiiiin
Beer store for liiiife!
I’m a beer man, I got the empties on my side
I’m working (workiin) beer store for life!
All my time, beer store for life
I still drink (I still drink) beer store for life,
beer store for life, beer store for life, beer store for life, beer store for life!

Scotty Gee Radio Show Notes 12-07-19

Tonight’s show started out with the bane of my existence.  The dreaded technical difficulties.  After a few songs where nobody could hear me but could hear the music (maybe for the best?), I took a short break, rejigged some settings, and the show then went off without a hitch.

We did our usual segments, Born to Die, where I go through the list of famous birthdays and deaths on this day, as well as What Stupid Day is It, where I talk about whatever crazy “National ____ Day” it is today.

Born to Die

1761 Marie Tussaud, French founder of Madame Tussaud’s wax museum, born in Strasbourg (d. 1850)
1942 Harry Chapin, American rock vocalist (Taxi, Cat’s in the Cradle), born in New York City, New York
1947 Johnny Bench, American MLB catcher (Reds), born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
1949 Tom Waits, American rocker and songwriter (Blue Valentine), born in Pomona, California
1956 Larry Bird, American Basketball Hall of Fame forward, coach, executive (Boston Celtics 3-time NBA champion, 12-time NBA All Star), born in West Baden, Indiana
1958 “Ravishing” Rick Rude, American professional wrestler, born in St. Peter, Minnesota (d. 1999)
1969 Patrice O’Neal, American stand-up comedian, born in Boston (d. 2011)
1972 ‘Sunny’ Tammy Lynn Sytch, American professional wrestler (WWF), born in Matawan, New Jersey
1973 Terrell Owens, American football wide receiver (San Francisco 49ers), born in Alexander City, Alabama

1817 William Bligh, British naval officer of “HMS Bounty” fame, dies at 63
1980 Darby Crash, American Punk rocker (Germs), dies of an overdose at 22
1989 Haystacks Calhoun, American professional wrestler, dies at 55
2011 Harry Morgan, American actor (M*A*S*H, Dragnet), dies in his sleep at 96
2016 Greg Lake, English rock vocalist and bassist (King Crimson, Emerson, Lake & Palmer), dies of cancer at 69

What Stupid Day Is It?

National Cotton Candy Day
National Rhubarb Vodka Day
Skywarn Recognition Day
