Comprised of former Belvedere songwriting duo and members Jason Sinclair and Scott Marshall, alongside a couple of rhythm section pals, the Fizzgigs banded together a couple of years back over a shared love of Ramones, Descendents and Lookout-Records-circa-1990-ish-inspired music.

While recording Weeeeeeeeeeeee, the Fizzgigs have had the privilege of supporting Teenage Bottlerocket, A Wilhelm Scream, Red City Radio, 88 Fingers Louie, Mad Caddies, Isotopes, and the Penske File, among others, on stage.

Weeeeeeeeeeeee are the Fizzgigs, as a collection of songs, is a testament to the value of expressing yourself and having fun –not in spite of everything being fucked-up around you, but especially because everything around you is fucked. And not to turn a blind eye, but to remind ourselves of why it’s worth another spin. It paints this picture between themes of glossy nostalgia, bitter resentment, human sacrifice, human comedy, and the end of the world. And does so in an upbeat fashion prone to inspiring movement. You may be a pogoer, a mosher, a headbanger, a foot stomper, a toe-tapper, or a steering wheel drummer… whatever your go-to is, these songs are meant to get you going and maybe even allow you to lose yourself to a joyful moment here and there. It wasn’t intended to be a concept album, but from the artwork (a cartoon character joyfully, if not ignorantly, indulging in a ride down a janky old slide despite being too big, the slide being broken, and the disapproval of waiting onlookers) to the release on international happiness day, Weeeeeeeeeeeee is about choosing fun.
